2025 Hyack Majors B Tournament – May 22nd to May 25th, 2025!
Don’t miss an exciting weekend of Little League baseball! The 2025 Hyack Majors B Tournament will take place from May 22 to May 25, 2025, at the Justin Morneau Field and the Moody Park diamonds in Moody Park, New Westminster. An annual NWBA event since 1965, this four-day tournament occurs during New West’s Hyack Festival.
Please note that some streets near Moody Park will be closed for the Hyack Parade from 6 am to 2 pm on Saturday, May 24th.
Tournament gameplay will start at 6 pm on May 22nd and May 23rd, and at 10 am on May 24th and May 25th. Gameplay on Saturday afternoon and Sunday will depend on how well individual teams do in their earlier games. Exciting and not-to-be-missed events include a Home Run Derby at 4 pm on May 24th at Justin Morneau Field (JMF), and the Gold Medal Final game, which will start at 1 pm on May 25th at JMF! Please see the schedule below.
The NWBA Major B Division team is excited to be hosting and playing against Major B Division teams from across Metro Vancouver for this tournament: Highlands LL Grizzlies and Pirates; Kerrisdale LL Provident Security; Langley LL Mariners and Red Sox; Little Mountain LL Anthem Properties Mariners and Dakota Homes Mariners; Trout Lake LL Padres and Sox; and South Van LL Aces and Bombers. A big welcome to all the visiting teams! (It looks like “Mariners” is a popular team name amongst local little leaguers this year, and why not–the Seattle Mariners are having a pretty strong season so far!)
Family, friends, and players from other divisions–T-Ball, Rookie, and Minor–are invited to come cheer on the Majors! Come see what Major Division gameplay is all about!
NWBA will be running a concession stand beside Justin Morneau Field throughout the tournament, with snacks, treats, and beverages. Little Miss Coffee (May 24th only) and Meet2Eat Foodtruck (May 24th only) will also be at the tournament!
A big thank-you to all the volunteers who will be helping NWBA with this tournament–we could not run this tournament without you! And a big thank-you to all our umpires!
Go New West, go!
