2025 Hyack Majors B Tournament Recap

What a great weekend for baseball! The sun was shining, the music was blasting on JMF, and the bats were swinging across Moody Park!

An annual event since 1965, the 2025 Hyack Majors B Tournament took place from May 22 to May 25, 2025, at Justin Morneau Field (JMF) and the Moody Park diamonds in Moody Park, New Westminster.

Twelve Majors B teams from across the Metro Vancouver region competed in four pools in the four-day tournament. Seven young sluggers competed in the Home Run Derby on Saturday afternoon. Congrats to the Home Run Derby winner–Player #16 from Highlands LL Pirates, with two home runs! Player #16 from New West Majors was the Home Run Derby runner-up, with one home run.

The tournament culminated in tough and exciting final games on Sunday, with Little Mountain LL Dakota Homes Rangers winning the Gold Level Final against the Trout Lake Padres; Little Mountain LL Anthem Properties Mariners winning the Gold Level Consolation game against New West Majors; Highlands LL Pirates winning the Silver Level Final against Langley Red Sox; and Langley Mariners winning the Bronze Level Final against Kerrisdale LL.

Highlands LL Grizzlies, Trout Lake Sox, and South Van LL Aces and Bombers were also strong competitors in this tournament.
