A Big Announcement About Baseball In Our Community!
| Dear New West Baseball families, We are excited to share some important news about the future of baseball in New Westminster starting in 2026. After a great deal of discussion, we have obtained board approval to transition our league’s affiliation from Little League (a US-based system) back to BC Minor Baseball. New West has a strong history with our provincially-based baseball system and was actually one of the original founding members of BC Minor back in 1963. While this move doesn’t affect your child’s overall experience, it will bring some great opportunities as well as some changes. Please refer to the email that was sent out to the league on Dec. 10, 2025 for more information. ***Please note: New West will retain one team for their final year of Little League Majors (DOB Sep 1, 2013 – Aug 31, 2015) for the 2026 Spring Season. Prospective Majors players have been contacted by email regarding playing opportunities and next-steps for 2026. There may be a tryout process for this team in the new year so stay tuned for more info. Little League Majors players should continue to refer to this NWBA website for information on 2026 programming. All other prospective players (born in 2021 or earlier) who are interested in playing baseball in New Westminster should refer to the New Westminster Minor Baseball Association (NWMBA) website.
